POSTPONEMENT
Sunday July 5, 2020 – Saturday July 11, 2020 UNIVERSITY OF UTAH The University of Utah (the U) is located in the foothills area in the East Bench neighborhood of Salt Lake City (SLC). At 4,783 feet above sea level and spanning 1,500 acres, most of the U campus has spectacular views of Salt Lake Valley. The campus is close by the metropolitan downtown area of SLC, while integrating beautifully into the rugged Wasatch Front. The best of both worlds, it has all the modern conveniences, transport needs and technology essential for professional conferences, yet untamed nature is close at hand for when you feel like walking out the door straight into a 5 mile hike. The residence halls feature 24/7 secure access, air-conditioning, ethernet and wifi access, and FREE laundry amenities in each building. Conference classrooms and meeting venues are within a 10 minute walk from residence halls. There are several options for casual or fine dining with cafes and shops close by the dormitories and conference facilities. Roughly 4 miles west of campus is SLC’s downtown center. Downtown features multiple breath-taking historical sites (the world-famous Tabernacle and Mormon Temple of Temple Square), alongside many delightful modern shops, restaurants, and breweries. Downtown is also home to several arts and educational institutions (museums, art galleries and science centers). It’ll be well worth it if you make time to visit this part of the city!
